PeopleGrove - Advisor, Professor and Alumni Calendars and Scheduling

Project Overview

This case study dives into the end to end design I worked on for the PeopleGrove new Advisor, Alumni and Professor Calendar and Scheduling Functionality. This included enabling administrators to sync their existing external calendars, schedule meetings and engage with your connections.

Mission & Goals

One of the primary goals for this project was to enable users to use their existing external calendars within the PeopleGrove ecosystem. Before this feature, members had to leave the PoepleGrove platform for any scheduling, meetings or calendar tasks.

Process

As the head of product design, I was responsible for all end-to-end design, user testing and research, prototyping and wire framing and final visual designs hand-off to engineering.

Research & Discovery

I collaborated with product and the design team to travel to our client university campus’s around the US and conducted user testing, research and interviews.

Architectural Design and Wireframes

Created mockups, wireframes and clickable prototypes to help test the user flows, user interactions and user experience accessibility.

Cross-Team Collaboration

I worked very close with stakeholders, product leads, junior designers and engineers to design, deliver and launch Calendars and Scheduling.

Final Designs, Design System and Design Library

I was responsible for creating and delivering the final designs, design library and design system.

Outcomes and Solutions

New External Calendar Sync Functionality

Designed an end to end experience that enabled members to purchase event and conference tickets.

Schedule and Manage Meeting

Designed an entirely new end to end mobile experience for all user types; from students to mentors to staff and alumni.

New Mobile UI Experience

After the release of Groups & Programs which included an enhanced mobile experience; our platform saw a sharp increase in our good feedback and NPS scores.
