Project Overview
This case study dives into the PeopleGrove Groups & Programs Project. As the head of product design and design team manager; I was responsible for all things design related. For this specific project, I designed and redesigned the core functionality around groups, programs and administrator management of both. This project enabled college staff and professors to create and manage groups / programs and enabled students, mentors, mentees to join groups and programs and engage with each other + events.
Mission & Goals
PeopleGrove had a super old groups and programs functionality which was just a generic landing page with no user types, no member tiers, no group/program links, content, no community engagement functionality such as chatting/inbox. There was no way to have private groups vs. public groups and colleges needed a way to organize and collect data on who is actually joining groups and programs and how they are using them. There was also no clear way to filter, search or find specific groups.
